Vuma Hills, a beautiful camp!
The Vuma Hills Tended Camp is beautifully situated on a hillside with a view of Mikumi NP! Because of the journey home, we, the five travelers, could only stay one night. However, we recommend tourists to book several nights! Because of COVID-19 we were the only guests, although the mask requirement was lifted! An Exciting Hillside Camp
This camp is tucked away in Mikumi Natl Park in a great location. My tent was high on a platform with a thatched roof overlooking the forest. Inside was an artistic living space with a comfortable bed and a lovely ensuite bathroom. I had heard bush babies before but never seen one till this camp where they come out after dark. The best time for visiting is in the dry months between June to February. Vuma Hills Tented Camp remains open all year round, but access to some areas of the park may be limited during March to June, due to the rains.
